"The first week I started the regime the change was amazing. My energy returned, my skin glowed, the aches and pains and heat (inflammation) in my joints went away (almost all), the gastric reflux stopped. People commented on the change in me. I was amazed at how different and positive I felt. So thank you so much." Susie, Plymouth

"I can't speak highly enough of that man, he changed my life". Doreen, Worcester

PMS (Pre Menstrual Syndrome)

Menstruation was among the Victorians' greatest obsessions. Oddly enough, although modern medicine is a million miles from these days, in reality it has not progressed at all. Worse still, a natural process has been turned into a condition or syndrome, PMS, requiring an armament of potent drugs when many symptoms are either normal or the result of nutritional deficiencies and /or hormonal imbalance.

Nutritional deficiencies leading to PMS may be the result of malabsorption due to factors including food allergy/intolerance, pathogenic organisms (bacteria, viruses, fungus/Candida and parasites), toxins such as metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury etc), chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, preservatives etc), radiation (DECT phones, mobiles and masts, air travel etc) and drugs (NSAIDs, steroids etc).

Hormonal imbalance revolves around the many hormones used in animal husbandry eventually finding their way to animal and fish products including eggs, milk and dairy products etc; the use of the contraceptive pill, HRT and steroids which find their way into our water supplies, and not forgetting the surge in the use of chemicals by way of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers and plastics which mimic estrogens in the body, displace the natural hormones and create an imbalance and the signs and symptoms of PMS.

Other factors which give rise to period problems and subsequently PMS include stress, seasonal affective disorder or SAD, high glycaemic index foods, a high fat diet, overweight, fibroids, cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, drugs for cancer, intrauterine devices (IUDs), drugs for other conditions and so on.

An Integral Health DNA Hair Test not only can identify the epigenetic factors which possibly give rise to cause/causes of an imbalance in the body and the potential for signs and symptoms of disease; it is also able to highlight the nutrient and lifestyle recommendations specific for each unique individual, helping to ensure they are able to achieve optimum health - naturally.
